Burnley striker Kyle Lafferty was delighted with his crucial goal in Northern Ireland's 1-1 draw in Sweden in their latest Euro 2008 qualifier.
The 20-year-old struck 18 minutes from time in the Rasunda Stadium to keep his side in with a chance of making next year's finals, with meetings with Denmark and Spain still to come.
Lafferty said: "That was the best game of my career. It was a great night for me personally, but I do not want to take anything away from the team.
"Our hopes were dented against Latvia and Iceland, but now we have a real chance of qualifying."
Boss Nigel Worthington added: "It was a superb equaliser and I am delighted for Kyle. He works hard for the team."
Lafferty has now scored three times in 13 appearances for Northern Ireland since making his debut against Uruguay in May 2006.
