Kilby denies Laws sacking reports

Burnley chairman Barry Kilby has dismissed claims the club are looking at replacing manager Brian Laws just over two months after he was appointed.

Laws was brought in to replace Owen Coyle, who moved to Bolton, on January 13, but the club have since dropped into the relegation zone and a report today suggested the Clarets were already looking to make a change.

However, Kilby said: "We are not in the process of looking for a replacement for Brian and everyone involved with Burnley is putting every ounce of effort into staying in the Premier League."
