Kevan back and with Stockport

04 December 2010 14:58
Former Burnley assistant manager Dave Kevan is back in football with Stockport, less than six weeks after losing his job at Notts County when manager Craig Short was sacked. Kevan had been with Notts for three years and last season worked with three different managers as well as having a reluctant spell in charge himself. When new boss Short didn't last very long this season he found himself on his way out again and for the first time in his career was out of work. That has lasted until now and this move to Stockport where he will assist manager Paul Simpson. It is initially for a couple of months but could lead to a permanent appointment at Edgeley Park. The club, who remain convinced that they are our rivals, are currently in 20th place in League Two with only one home win since February and with three 5-0 defeats in the last month. It looks a tough job.
