Ka#269;anikli#263; signing confirmed
Burnley have now confirmed the signing of Swedish international Alexander Kačaniklić from Fulham in a loan deal until the end of the season and will be eligible for tomorrow's game at Charlton.
He's made fifteen Premier League appearances for Fulham this season and a couple of his goals won me points in Fantasy Premier League Mad, not as though they have done me too much good.
But for the remainder of the season he will be a Burnley player and manager Sean Dyche, who took him to Watford last season, is delighted. "He is an exciting young prospect and something different to what we have, which is important," the manager said.
"He is dynamic and can mix up his game. He was with us at Watford last year and was then called back and went into Fulham's team, which is obviously a good sign. He has started this season in the Premier League and got himself a couple of goals.
"It's a good link with Fulham. They know their player was looked after at Watford. He is aware of us as a staff and knows he will get looked after here. That's one of the key things. We do look after players here. We look to develop our own and anyone who joins us."
Dyche added: "As I have stated all along we have been monitoring the market. We have tried to get players. It's one that's come about the right time. We want someone who can affect the group and we want others and if we can get the right ones for the right reasons, who fit in with the finances of the club, then we will do that.
"We want to be progressive as a team and we have been waiting for the chance to freshen things and also allowed the group here to deliver what they can show us. We have hit that sticky patch and things don't go on forever when you just work with the same players. Eventually, change comes."
The player's PROFILE PAGE has been added to the Past/Present Players section and his International record can now be found on his INTERNATIONAL page.
