The news of Jimmy McIlroy's MBE was really well received. All that remains now is for Jimmy to be recognised by the Football League Museum hall of Fame, a surprising omission. Perhaps the MBE award will bring his name to the attention of the selection committee. This too is a sumptuous book packed with illustrations and includes many previously untold stories.
