Former Bradford City, Sheffield Wednesday, Wigan and Derby boss Paul Jewell is the new Ipswich Town manager after being confirmed this afternoon as their replacement for Roy Keane. Keane lost his job three days ago amidst speculation that Jewell was lined up to replace him, but Ipswich placed former Notts County manager Ian McParland in temporary charge for yesterday's FA Cup tie at Chelsea where they were on the wrong end of a 7-0 hiding. However, they have now confirmed the appointment of Jewell on a two and a half year deal.
