Jensen opens Clarets talks

Burnley goalkeeper Brian Jensen has started discussions about a new contract at Turf Moor.

The 32-year-old Dane is the longest-serving player currently on the Clarets' books, making 179 appearances for the club following his transfer from West Brom almost five years ago.

"I can confirm we're talking, but we just need a little bit more confirmation from the gaffer and we'll take it from there," Jensen told the Burnley Express.

"Everybody's questioning and everybody thinks I'm going somewhere, but at the moment I'm not going anywhere.

"I'm happy here, my family's settled and I definitely want to stay, so now we just have to see how that develops. If they want to keep me, then I'll stay."
