Burnley goalkeeper Brian Jensen suffered no long-term damage when he injured his neck in the 3-1 defeat at Watford.
The Dane was stretchered from the pitch late on after a clash with Darius Henderson and needed a hospital check-up before being allowed home.
Clarets boss Steve Cotterill told the club's official website: "There is no long-term damage. He'll be pretty sore and stiff for a little while, but he'll be okay.
"We've just got to leave him now. As regards to a replacement, that's not a problem as he and Danny Coyne have been fighting it out for the goalkeeping position.
"It's that tight a call between them, that the goalkeeping situation when one of them is injured is almost irrelevant."
