Jensen agrees Clarets deal

Burnley have revealed that goalkeeper Brian Jensen has committed himself to the Turf Moor club for another three years.

The 29-year-old Dane was out of contract this summer but has now put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal which will keep him at the club until June 2008.

Jensen, who joined the club from West Bromwich Albion in summer 2003, was the first choice keeper last season, but lost his place under boss Steve Cotterill when he signed Welsh international Danny Coyne.

However an injury to Coyne has given Jensen a chance to reclaim his first team jersey with some excellent displays and convinced him that his future remains with the Clarets.

Coyne has regained his fitness but Cotterill has promised to utilise both keepers for the final few games of the season.

"I don't think there's a lot to choose between them as they've been at the moment and we can have a look at things and keep them ticking over and on their toes," said Cotterill.

"I'm going to alternate the pair of them between now and the end of the season."
