Jay unaffected by Saints interest
urnley striker Jay Rodriguez insists he was not fazed by Southampton's attempts to lure him from Turf Moor this summer.[LNB] The England under-21 international was the subject of several bids from the Saints but Rodriguez reiterated that his sole focus was on playing football for the Clarets.[LNB]Asked whether he was affected by Southampton's interest, Rodriguez told the Lancashire Telegraph: "No, I just kept myself to myself.[LNB]"Nothing really affects me, I just concentrate on my football, working with the team and working up the league as a team. That's what I try to do and what I'll always try to do.[LNB]"The club that I'm at, I work hard for the team and look forward to every game I play.[LNB]"That's the best thing to do, to play football, and that's all I want to do."
