January Goal of the Month - thirteen to choose from

Voting is underway for Burnley's January Goal of the Month and there are a choice of thirteen goals from those scored in the games against Sheffield United, Reading, Port Vale, Portsmouth and Burton Albion. Martin Paterson - scored the last goal of the JanuaryThe month started with a four goal haul against Sheffield United scored by Chris Eagles, Chris Iwelumo, Jay Rodriguez and Steven Thompson, and two days later Ross Wallace gave us the lead in a game we eventually lost at Reading.That was followed up by another four in the FA Cup with three of them, those scored by Clarke Carlisle, Tyrone Mears and Eagles included.The next two goals were at Portsmouth with both Jay Rodriguez and Dean Marney finding the net as we recorded our second away league win of the season.And the cup tie against Burton brought the month to an end with Eagles getting another two and Martin Paterson returning to complete the scoring.That's a total of 13 - with four from Eagles, two from Rodriguez and one each from Carlisle, Iwelumo, Marney, Mears, Paterson, Thompson and Wallace.Previous monthly winners are Chris Eagles (v Morecambe) in August, Chris Iwelumo (v Preston) in September, Chris Eagles (v Barnsley) in October, Tyrone Mears' (v Derby) in November and Jay Rodriguez (v Leeds) in December.Voting started this morning and will run until the end of Friday. The man of the match vote for the Watford game will start within an hour of the final whistle on Saturday.
