urnley boss Brian Laws will assess the fitness of striker Chris Iwelumo ahead of the trip to Middlesbrough on Tuesday night.[LNB] The summer signing from Wolves scored a hat-trick in Saturday's thrilling 4-3 win over Preston following a hamstring injury which ruled him out of international duty with Scotland last week.[LNB]However, Iwelumo has not yet fully recovered and said: "I tried a light session on Thursday and I was aware of it all the time.[LNB]"Friday it was a bit more free but even when I woke up on the morning of the game I was aware of it."[LNB]Should Iwelumo be ruled out, Jay Rodriguez could earn a starting role after he came off the bench to score the winner on Saturday.[LNB]Defender Tyrone Mears is available after suspension but midfielder Chris McCann remains a long-term absentee with a knee injury.
