Striker Chris Iwelumo suffered a hamstring injury in the defeat at Swansea on Saturday which has now ruled him out of Scotland's two Euro 2012 qualifiers in the next eight days. Iwelumo was clearly struggling by the end of the game and it was clear the problem was with his hamstring. Immediately afterwards he was rated doubtful for Scotland duty but his withdrawal from Craig Levein's squad has now been confirmed. He'll miss the two games against Lithuania and Liechtenstein and he's joined on the injured list by former Burnley striker Steven Fletcher. He's also ruled out of the first game but Levein his hopeful he'll be able to join up with the squad for the second of the two games, against Liectenstein next Tuesday at Hampden Park.Iwelumo recently won his third cap, coming on as a substitute against Sweden in a friendly international earlier this month, and in doing so became the seventh Burnley player to represent Scotland. It now appears a race against time to get him fit for Burnley's next game, the local derby against Preston in twelve days time.
