In a game where both managers agreed we were fortunate to win, Charlie turned things round for the Clarets after Jamie Ward had given the home side the lead. He scored the equaliser with an outstanding goal before heading home the winner with just over a minute of normal time remaining.
It won him both the man of the match and the player ratings, but only just, and it is no surprise to see the four best players on the day standing out in both.
He won the man of the match with 36.2% of the vote and that was just ahead of Ben Mee who polled 30.1% in his first league start of the season, coming in at left back for Joseph Mills.
Goalkeeper Lee Grant, probably my choice before Charlie completed his double, came third with a 20.4% share and Dean Marney took fourth place with just 5.7% of the vote.
In the player ratings, Austin won it just ahead of Grant. His rating of 8.38 out of 10 edging just over the 8.33 won by the goalkeeper. Mee was third this time with a rating of 8.14 and a rating of 7.67 was well ahead of the rest to give Marney fourth place.
The result of this game gives Austin the maximum 10 points in the Clarets Mad Player of the Year Table. Both Grant and Mee win five points with Marney getting two points.
Those points have now taken Austin to the top of the table. He's three points clear of Grant with Marney a further five points behind.
The vote for the Swindon game is still in progress but ends at midnight tonight.
