Injuries mounting up for Clarets
urnley boss Brian Laws is sweating on injuries to left-back Danny Fox and striker Martin Paterson after Tuesday's 1-1 draw against Doncaster.[LNB] Fox was stretchered off with suffered suspected ankle ligament damage following a heavy fall in the second half.[LNB]And Paterson was replaced at half-time after picking up a thigh strain just before the break, leaving Laws facing a nervous wait as medical staff assess the duo.[LNB]Laws said: "We are licking our wounds because we could have picked up two bad injuries. Martin suffered a thigh strain. He struggled in the last five minutes before half-time and wasn't quite right, so we have to protect that.[LNB]"Danny didn't have his best game and in the end he has picked up an injury trying hard to put right his below par performance.[LNB]"He has landed on his ankle and it didn't look too clever. There could be ligament damage there, so we'll have to wait and see over the next couple of days."
