Injuries mount for Clarets

Burnley boss Brian Laws is sweating on injuries to left-back Danny Fox and striker Martin Paterson following Tuesday`s 1-1 home draw against Doncaster. Fox was stretchered off with suffered suspected ankle ligament damage following a heavy fall in the second half. And Paterson was replaced at half-time after picking up a thigh strain just before the break, leaving Laws facing a nervous wait as medical staff assess the duo. Laws said: "We are licking our wounds because we could have picked up two bad injuries. Martin suffered a thigh strain. He struggled in the last five minutes before half-time and wasn't quite right, so we have to protect that. "Danny didn't have his best game and in the end he has picked up an injury trying hard to put right his below par performance. "He has landed on his ankle and it didn't look too clever. There could be ligament damage there, so we'll have to wait and see over the next couple of days."
