Hughton is new Birmingham manager

It can come as no surprise but former Tottenham defender and former Newcastle manager Chris Hughton is the new man in charge of Birmingham City, replacing Alex McLeish who moved across to Aston Villa last week. Hughton has been out of work since becoming a surprise sacking at Newcastle last season. He turned down opportunities because he wanted a break but was recently in the running for the Championship jobs at both West Ham and Cardiff.
