Eddie Howe is expected to be confirmed as Burnley manager tomorrow and it's reported that his first target for the former Bournemouth manager could be Swindon Town striker Charlie Austin. The 21-year-old Austin has been with Swindon since October 2009, having signed from Poole Town and he's netted no fewer than 37 goals for League One Swindon in just 63 appearances. 31 of those goals have come in the league in 52 games of which 47 have been starts. He's been the subject of speculation since the end of last season when he and Billy Painter scored the goals that took them all the way to the play off final.Howe will have just two weeks to assess the Burnley squad and make any moves in the transfer market before the window closes although he will have the option of making use of the next emergency loan market that opens in the second week of February.
