Howe set to shuffle pack

Burnley boss Eddie Howe insists personnel changes could be in the offing after the club`s home support grew restless on Tuesday night in the face of back-to-back disappointments.

The Clarets` play-off ambitions have taken a hit in recent days, with a 2-2 draw against Coventry at Turf Moor coming hot on the heels of Saturday's 3-0 home defeat to Millwall. Howe named the same XI against the Sky Blues as that which went down to the Lions, but changes could now be on the cards.

"I gave the players the chance to put Saturday right and we didn't get the response we expected, so it's something we'll look at against Bristol City at the weekend," said the former Bournemouth boss.

"In an ideal world you'd have vocal support from start to finish. It's not an ideal world and it's understandable that the supporters get frustrated. It's a case of the players being mentally strong and being able to deal with that pressure.

"You have to look at the bigger picture. We're still in a very good position and we have to focus on the remaining games. It's not the three we wanted but it's a point closer to where we want to be."
