Howe ponders transfer options

Burnley manager Eddie Howe has been impressed with the quality of the squad he has taken over, but has not ruled out bringing in new faces before the transfer window closes on Monday. The Clarets secured their first win since Howe took charge after beating Portsmouth 2-1 on Tuesday but the former Bournemouth boss remains open to the idea of adding new recruits. "It`s something we're looking at," he said. "I said when I came in that I didn't want to make snap decisions and bring in players if we didn't need them. "We've assessed the squad and we're happy with it. There may be a couple of areas we need to tweak, but nothing has been decided yet and nothing has been finalised. It's something we're working on. "I'm very happy with the squad I have, it's not the case that I'm not. But I think every manager in the country would say they'd like to strengthen as much as they could."
