Howe keeps faith in wounded XI for Coventry visit

Burnley boss Eddie Howe is unlikely to make wholesale changes when his side host Coventry.

The Clarets' play-off hopes were dealt a blow on Saturday after they were thumped 3-0 at home by Millwall and they will again be without a trio of strikers.

Charlie Austin has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a dislocated shoulder. Fellow frontman Steven Thompson is sidelined for at least a month following a groin operation and Martin Paterson is also absent with a thigh injury.

Midfielder Chris McCann is edging closer to match fitness after a long-term knee injury. Howe is urging his side to bounce straight back from Saturday's defeat, saying: "It's an opportunity to put it right in front of our own fans."
