Howe keen for Jensen talks

New Burnley boss Eddie Howe plans to hold talks with goalkeeper Brian Jensen after he handed in a transfer request last month. The long-serving Dane grew frustrated after losing his first-team place to Lee Grant and Howe will now speak to the popular stopper to gauge his thoughts. Howe said: "We haven't had a chance to chat with Brian yet. It's been a bit of a whirlwind week so far so I will sit down with Brian when I get a minute and talk it though with him and see where he's at and see what he's thinking. "It depends what Brian thinks. He has obviously put a transfer request in for a reason but until I speak to him I won't know the full details." Howe, meanwhile, has played down speculation linking him with a move for Swindon striker Charlie Austin and Everton's James Vaughan. He also reported there had been no approach from Everton for winger Chris Eagles.
