The Clarets have slipped to 12th in the npower Championship after collecting just one point from their last six matches. Yet Howe saw plenty of encouraging signs in Tuesday`s 2-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest and believes their top-six hopes remain alive.
Howe said: "If we can repeat that type of performance and endeavour we will win a lot of games.
"We showed signs of a recovery and I hope that continues as the games come thick and fast."
