Holloway targets Eagles

Ian Holloway, manager of newly promoted Blackpool, said this week that he had a list of players who he was looking to take to Bloomfield Road ahead of the new Premier League season. He didn't name any of them, but he said he'd identified the players he'd like to bring in and hoped to get some of those on his list. This morning it has been revealed there is one Burnley player on that list, although Holloway is not wanting to buy him.According to the usual Sunday speculation, he would like to take Chris Eagles from Burnley on loan. Eagle was signed by Burnley just over a week before the start of the 2008/09 season on a three year deal, and that leaves him with just one year remaining on his current contract as a Burnley player. He's a player who has attracted an amazing amount of interest from other clubs over the two years, if the tabloids are to be believed, and today's is the latest for a player who it is now believed is keen to cement his place at Burnley.
