Harvey back at Fleetwood

Midfielder Alex-Ray Harvey has returned to Fleetwood on loan. The deal for an initial month has gone through to allow him to go straight into their squad for tomorrow's game against Hayes & Yeading. Alex-Ray ended last season at Highbury on loan as Fleetwood reached the Blue Square Premier League play offs, and manager Micky Mellon was full of praise for him. He'd have liked to have signed him permanently in the summer but was scuppered when Burnley offered him a new contract. Back at Turf Moor he was in the starting line up for the first pre-season friendly against Altrincham and was then used as a substitute in the second at Bury, but he didn't figure again with the first team other than to be the only outfield substitute not used in the final friendly against Sunderland. He's now been allowed to return to Fleetwood to get more first team experience and that's delighted Mellon who said: “Alex is a smashing player and we need the bodies to provide cover for the injuries. Burnley have again been great to allow Alex-Ray Harvey to return to the football club."
