Harley turns Clarets deal down

Former Sheffield United and Fulham defender Jon Harley will leave Burnley this summer after failing to agree a new contract with the Clarets.

The 28-year-old, who made 127 appearances in his three seasons with the club, turned a new Turf Moor deal down on Friday.

"We offered John a new deal and unfortunately we cannot agree terms," boss Owen Coyle told the club's official website.

"Subsequently, he'll be moving on and we wish him well in his career elsewhere."
