Gudjonsson leaves Turf Moor
Icelandic midfielder Joey Gudjonsson has left Burnley by mutual consent.[LNB] The 29-year-old's contract was due to expire in the summer but he has now reached an agreement to leave Turf Moor with immediate effect.[LNB]Gudjonsson's departure will come as no surprise to Burnley's fans after he was suspended by the club for a fortnight last month following his criticism of manager Brian Laws prior to the 4-1 win at Hull.[LNB]Gudjonsson scored seven goals in 109 appearances since joining the Clarets in the summer of 2007, but made only one league start this season.[LNB]
