Burnley's first game of the season against Nottingham Forest will be played at Turf Moor in 31 days time, and the new Turf Moor pitch is now well on the way to be ready for the opening day fixture. The previous pitch, laid in 1998, was removed just days after the Spurs game at the end of last season and it's been a hive of activity since with the installation of a Desso Grassmaster pitch, like those at Arsenal and Manchester City amongst others.Just under two weeks ago, with the installation complete, the pitch was seeded, and as you can now see from the picture above it is coming along well.The Desso, the artificial part of the pitch, will be added later this month and, with the friendly against Stoke having been moved to Huddersfield, the pitch will be ready for that Forest game on 7th August.
