Burnley Football Club have this morning confirmed that caretaker manager Stuart Gray will still be in charge for Saturday's home league game against Queens Park Rangers. Gray was placed in charge for three games when Brian Laws was sacked at the end of last year. Those were the league games against Sheffield United and Reading and the FA Cup tie against Port Vale.It was hoped that the club would have made an appointment by then but chairman Barry Kilby has confirmed this morning that Gray will continue for now.Kilby said: "Burnley Football Club is still in discussions with several parties with regard to the managerial vacancy at Turf Moor."Talks are ongoing, and as a result I have today informed caretaker manager Stuart Gray that he remains in full charge of first team affairs for Saturday's Championship game against Queens Park Rangers at Turf Moor."Eddie Howe now appears to be the favourite for the post, but there's at least one other name that remains in the frame as the Clarets continue the search for the new manager to replace Brian Laws.
