Eddie Howe, having announced his retained list, is now set to make some drastic changes to his backroom team with at least two of Brian Laws' appointments leaving the club. Set to go are first team coach Stuart Gray and development coach Ash Hoskin whilst the position of goalkeeping coach Billy Mercer looks unsure. All have been appointed to their current roles since the beginning of 2010.Both Gray and Mercer joined the Clarets on 19th January 2010, along with Tom Little and Tim Henderson. They completed Laws' hastily put together backroom team along with his assistant Russ Wilcox.Hoskin was previously working within youth development at Burnley but was appointed as development and reserve team coach at the beginning of June last year. When Laws left at the end of 2010 Wilcox went with him but the rest of the staff remained although Little departed on the appointment of Howe who brought in his own fitness coach in Jonathan Dalzell. Now, it could be that only Henderson, the chief scout, remains of Laws' backroom team alongside the manager and assistant Jason Tindall.
