Grant completes Derby move

It's all happened very quickly but Lee Grant looks certain to be a Derby County player again this week, maybe even as early as today.
Just a week ago, speaking at the Supporters' Clubs Player of the Year Evening, Grant said: "Fingers crossed I'll be back next year, there's still work to be done but yes, we'll see."
By early afternoon on the following day a Derby supporter first broke the news of a potential move when he claimed there was strong speculation in Derby that Grant was on his way back to Pride Park.
Such was the speculation that by the end of the day Alan Nixon was confirming that we were in the market for a new goalkeeper and by mid-morning last Thursday it was looking more than likely that Grant was moving on.
That was strengthened on Saturday with his response as he left the pitch close to the end of the game and today our Championship rivals have confirmed that the player who made his debut for them against us in 2002 is now a Derby player again.
Manager Nigel Clough said: "Lee is our first signing of the summer and a very, very important one. He was available on a free transfer and when we contacted him, he expressed an interest in coming back to Derby.
"It was too good an opportunity to miss. To bring somebody in who is 30, and who knows what it is all about in the Championship, will be beneficial to us. Lee has been extremely consistent in the last six years and has hardly missed a game for Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley.
"I know he is a player our supporters admired when he was here before, and since he left as well."
Grant joined the Clarets in the summer of 2010 on a three year deal. He'd had one short loan spell with the club in 2005/06 season, playing once when Brian Jensen was suspended.
He was not the most popular of players during his first two seasons but has certainly won the fans over this season with some excellent performances.
With the news of Jensen's release yesterday it leaves only Jon Stewart as the only goalkeeper at Turf Moor.
The deal will go through on 1st July at the end of his contract at Burnley.
