Grant is number one choice
Manager Eddie Howe might well be planning some team changes for Saturday's game at Bristol City but we shouldn't expect one of those changes to come in goal where Lee Grant remains firmly the first choice. Speaking about Grant today, Howe has said: "He is the number one at the moment because he's got the shirt. I have to say that I think Lee has been very consistent and has been a very good performer for us."In the Hull game he made some fantastic saves for us. he has the shirt and he has performed consistently."No one is guaranteed a starting place. Everyone's place is reviewed after every game, like it has to be and there is competition for places. But that's what you want. At every football club you want people fighting for the shirt."Howe will deliberate before naming his team for Saturday but said: "Everyone is close. We only have 17 or 18 players to pick from so everyone is really close. There's no one excluded."Everyone is part of it and we need everybody, fans and players united together for the same goal and backing the 11 in shirts, because it's so important."
