Gibbs and Mason are next two referees

Phil Gibbs and Lee Mason will referee Burnley's next two league games against Reading at Turf Moor and Barnsley at Millmoor.

Gibbs was last in charge of a Burnley game in February this year when he was the man in charge of Eddie Howe's first home league game in charge, the 2-1 win against Norwich, courtesy of goals from Dean Marney and Jay Rodriguez.

For Mason, who will always be best known by Burnley fans for his refereeing of our home game against Preston in December 2007, it will be his first time with the Clarets since our Premier League season when he refereed our Liverpool away game at Anfield and then the home defeat to Wigan in October 2009.

Mason, having recovered somewhat from that first game, is now in 38th place in the RATE THE REF table, but Gibbs, however, sits in bottom place after a shocker of a performance in that Norwich game.
