Burnley have released four out-of-contract first teamers including the club's longest serving player Graham Branch.
The 35-year-old brought down the curtain on his eight-year career with the Clarets following a Bank Holiday Monday testimonial.
Meanwhile, Burnley boss Steve Cotterill has confirmed that Danny Coyne, John McGreal and Frank Sinclair have also been told they are free to leave Turf Moor and Garreth O'Connor has been placed on the transfer list.
"We probably knew a while ago that this was going to be Graham's (Branch) last year, but I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his services," Cotterill told the club's official website.
"Graham is a great character to have in and around the place, but his playing was becoming limited and I just feel that he still has plenty in the tank to go and get himself another club for a couple of years.
"He has been great to have around the place and I am sure we will miss him, along with the others."
