The first of the three was around a month ago but the latter two were on the move last week as the football world was swamped with transfer news with the closing of the transfer window for clubs from the Blue Square Premier League upwards.
The first of those three signings was that of Ash Young who has travelled widely since leaving the Clarets in 2007 after serving just one year of his scholarship. He moved to Bury for the second year and won himself a deal there but later moved on to Scotland where he signed for Falkirk.
Since, he's played for Erie Admirals in America, returned to England where he played for Hyde, and has just ended a spell in Australia with Bunbury Force who play in the Western Australia State League.
Young, a creative midfielder, has now signed for Mossley where he is still to make his first team debut.
Last week saw Danny MacDonald, previously with AFC Fylde, sign for Lancaster City. Danny was youth team goalkeeper from 2008 to 2010 but didn't win a professional contract at Turf Moor. Before signing for Fylde he'd played for both Freckleton and Clitheroe. Now he's with the club that I was heavily involved with some thirty years ago.
Finally, striker Liam Newman has also been on the move. Liam, also with Burnley from 2008 to 2010 as a scholar, was with Witton Albion last season and scored 17 goals for them., and this despite suffering from a hamstring injury in the latter part of the season which led to his new deal not being renewed.
He signed for Stafford Rangers last week on non-contract terms but manager Greg Clowes has said that Liam is not fit just yet and is unlikely to be for their next game.
"Liam comes with a goalscoring record, there's no doubt about that, but we have got to work on his fitness, as it's nowhere near. He understands what we want from him and, when he's fit, we will have a player there, but I don't think he will be involved on Saturday."
