Former manager Ternent to attend book launch

Dave Thomas' new book 'Entertainment, Heroes and Villains' recalls the progress of Burnley Football Club under the guidance of managers Steve Cotterill, Owen Coyle and Brian Laws, but it is another former boss Stan Ternent who will be at the launch next week. The book, which has had input from chairman Barry Kilby and fellow director Brendan Flood, along with contributions from Alastair Campbell, Piers Morgan and a host of national journalists will be launched next Thursday afternoon at Turf Moor.Alongside Stan will be a number of other former Clarets, including Frank Casper, Brian Flynn, John Francis, Andy Lochhead and Jimmy McIlroy, commencing at 2:00 p.m.That will be followed two days later by two signing sessions. From 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon Flynn, Francis and John Mullin will be at WH Smiths in Burnley and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. it will move to the club shop with Paul Fletcher and Martin Dobson joining Francis and Mullin.The book is a 272 page paperback including 35 photographs and has been published by Vertical Editions of Skipton.
