Flynn is guest

Again today the guest is a player who has played for both clubs, Burnley and Leeds, and it is perhaps no surprise to see Brian Flynn stepping up to make the half time draw. Flynn had three spells with Burnley wrapped around the five years he spent at Elland Road. He started his career with the Clarets but was sold to Leeds in November 1977 and made the return journey twice, firstly in March 1982 on loan and then permanently in November of that year. That last spell at Burnley was for two years before he went on to play for Cardiff, Doncaster, Bury and Wrexham as well as a spell as player coach at Limerick. He went on to manage Wrexham for many years and also had a spell as manager at Swansea. He's often been linked with the Burnley job, probably every time it has become vacant since the days of Jimmy Mullen, but it didn't happen for him. He was part of John Toshack's team with the Welsh national side and is currently caretaker boss of Wales, only the second ex-Claret ever to manage a national side. He's always a welcome visitor to Turf Moor and should also get a warm reception from the visiting fans after playing over 150 games for Leeds United.
