Fletcher signs for York

Two days ago Clarets Mad reported that Wes Fletcher had turned down a move to Morecambe and had opted to sign for another League Two club. That club has now been confirmed as York City.

The favourites appeared to be Chesterfield and Fleetwood on the message board when the Morecambe refusal was confirmed but there was no mention of York, now managed by former Northern Ireland boss Nigel Worthington.

However, the signing has been confirmed today and Fletcher has signed his two year contract on a busy day at Bootham Crescent with new goalkeeping coach Andy Collett and new goalkeper, Blackpool's Chris Kettings, also having signed.
