Fletcher makes Accrington move

Wes Fletcher has today signed for Accrington Stanley on loan and will be with them until January. The loan will give Wes the opportunity to get some first team action at the Crown Ground. He came on as a sub for the Clarets last week towards the end of the Carling Cup clash against Burton Albion but would probably be restricted to the odd sub appearance for now if he remained at Burnley. On confirming the loan, manager Eddie Howe said of Wes: "He is a player with talent. We feel he is part of the future here, which why we gave him a two-year deal.It was always part of the plan for the next stage of his development to get some games at Football League level. "He was unfortunate last year when he got a couple of injuries which restricted his football, so he needs to go somewhere and play. Kevin Long is already there and the locality is ideal for us to keep an close eye on his progress. "Hopefully he will go there and score some goals and come back that much better prepared to challenge for a place in our first team."
