25 October 2012 10:15
Paul Fletcher's book is ready to hit the shelves and will be launched next week within the UCFB premises of Turf Moor.

That's the Jimmy Mac Stand to football fans and joining Fletch at the launch will be the manager who gave him his Football League debut at Bolton, none other than Jimmy McIlroy.

They'll be joined by former Burnley boss Stan Ternent who signed Fletcher for Blackpool from Burnley and some of the former Claret's team mates including Ian Brennan, Frank Casper, Mick Docherty, Brian Flynn, Steve Kindon, Peter Noble, Geoff Nulty, Jim Thomson, Colin Waldron.

You are welcome to bring along any memorabilia, ephemera, programmes, photographs, shirts etc. that you would like signing and copies of the book, available on the night, will be signed by Fletcher.

The book is entitled 'Magical - A life in football' and tells the story of Fletcher's life and experiences in the game. From a player at Bolton, Burnley and Blackpool he became a stadium expert, working on new stadia at Huddersfield, Bolton, Wembley, where he controversially walked away, and Coventry, before returning to Turf Moor as first development director and then chief executive.

The launch will be held on Thursday 1st November and gets underway at 7:00 p.m. Tickets, priced at £5 and including a pie & peas supper, are still available from the Turf Moor reception or you can email DAVE THOMAS directly or phone him on 07961 846636.

To follow this, Fletcher will be signing copies of the book at both WH Smith and the club shop on the following Saturday 3rd November. The times are currently approximate but it is expected it will be WH Smith's from 12 noon until approximately 1:00 p.m. and then moving on to the shop at Turf Moor until 2:15 p.m.
