Fletcher and Eagles wanted

Bolton Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion have been linked with two of our players this morning, the latest as speculation starts to increase ahead of the summer transfer window. Steven Fletcher - latest Burnley player linked with BoltonLast week it was revealed that the Bolton manager was hoping to sign central defender Clarke Carlisle at the end of his contract at Burnley. Today he's apparently looking to sign Steven Fletcher for £3 million from us.That was the reported fee when Fletcher joined Burnley last summer from Hibs on a three year deal. Since then he's been a regular in our Premier League team, missing only when a broken bone in his hand kept him out. He's scored eight Premier League goals for us and has proved himself at this level. There is no way we would sell him for that price, or indeed at all. I think the Bolton manager might have to look elsewhere or come up with a far more significant offer than that.West Brom's link is with Chris Eagles who Roberto Matteo would like to take to the Hawthorns for £1 million. Although the offer appears low it is potentially low it is possibly a more likely move than that of Fletcher. In Eagles' case, he would be going into the last year of his contract at Turf Moor and he isn't first choice every week in the side. Even so, a fee of one million would surely have to be increased for Burnley to even consider it.
