Burnley have now reached double figures in Singapore. After beating Gambok United 5-0 on Tuesday, we've repeated the scoreline against Home United this morning. Jay Rod - another goal from the penalty spotAs we reported earlier, both Martin Paterson and birthday boy Chris McCann were missing, but it was another good run out for the rest of the players. We were soon in front. In just the 3rd minute we scored after a corner. Leon Cort headed the ball across for Jay Rodriguez who saw his header from close range handled on the line. There was no doubt, and Jay Rod scored from the spot.Burnley were playing some good stuff and it was another corner that led to the second just past the half hour. This time Wallace's flag kick was knocked out to the edge of the box only for Wade Elliott to volley home a screamer, maybe a goal on a par with the one he scored at Sunderland in 2007.That scoreline remained until eight minutes from the end when Chris Eagles added a third. Dean Marney set him up and he chipped the keeper, seeing the ball cross the line before the defender could get back to clear. Then, Chris Iwelumo took over. With three minutes to go he pounced after an Andre Bikey header (again from a corner) was saved and two minutes leader headed home from an Eagles cross to complete the scoring. The Burnley team was: Brian Jensen, Tyrone Mears (Richard Eckersley 45), Michael Duff (Clarke Carlisle 67), Leon Cort (Graham Alexander 67), Danny Fox (Brian Easton 77), David Edgar (Alex-Ray Harvey 77), Wade Elliott (Andre Bikey 67), Kevin McDonald (Dean Marney 67), Jay Rodriguez (Wes Fletcher 77), Steven Thompson (Chris Iwelumo 45), Ross Wallace (Chris Eagles 45).
