Jay Rodriguez scored the goal that gave Burnley a 2-0 lead against Leeds in a game we went on to lose 3-2, and his performance has landed his first ever Clarets Mad Man of the Match award. Jay strolled to the top of both the vote and the player ratings to land the maximum six points towards the Clarets Mad Player of the Year in a game where the player ratings marks were very low.In the man of the match he polled 52.4% of the vote which with Brian Easton taking second place with 22.0%. Jack Cork, very impressive in the first half, came third with 17.4% of the vote. When it came to the player ratings it was the same top three, and they were the only three players to reach a rating of 6 out of 10 which is considered an average performance, meaning, overall, it was thought eight of the eleven were below average or worse.Jay was again top with a rating of 7.13 out of 10 whilst this time it was Cork in second place and his rating was 6.23. Left back Easton took third place with a rating of 6.08 out of 10.Cork and Easton both get three points towards the Clarets Mad Player of the Year alongside the six awarded to Rodriguez. Those points now see Cork go nine points clear at the top of the table whilst the maximum for Jay have lifted him into eighth place. The next vote will be the man of the match after the Cardiff game and that will be available within an hour of the end of Saturday's game.Clarets Mad Player of the Year Table50: Jack Cork41: Chris Eagles30: Andre Bikey25: Clarke Carlisle18: Tyrone Mears17: Wade Elliott15: Lee Grant14: Jay Rodriguez13: Chris Iwelumo11: Brian Jensen9: Brian Easton & Dean Marney8: Michael Duff & Ross Wallace6: Martin Paterson3: Leon Cort2: Steven Thompson1: Graham Alexander & Danny Fox
