With the big East Lancashire derby less than 24 hours away, supporters representatives of both clubs have spoken of their wishes for a peaceful afternoon at Turf Moor tomorrow.

Those representatives of both Burnley and Blackburn Rovers attended a meeting at Turf Moor last Wednesday, after which they jointly issued the following statement.

"It is appreciated that the arrangements for this match will cause inconvenience and disruption beyond what many would wish to have to undergo.

"Both sets of supporters are aware of the history, rivalry and importance of the game. However, it  is our hope that we can all enjoy the game safely and without any problems and that supporters of Burnley and Blackburn Rovers emerge with great credit from this high profile match."
