A statement on the FA's website read: "Fans trying to watch the FA Cup fourth-round tie between Reading and Burnley live on FATV may have encountered a problem with the service.

"Unfortunately we experienced technical difficulties that we were unable to resolve until the opening moments of the second half.

"We apologise to all fans who were unable to view the game online as a result of this fault."

Reading won the game 1-0 with a late goal from Gylfi Sigurdsson, to continue their fine cup run having also knocked Liverpool out in a replay at Anfield.
