Ex-Clarets only involved in the internationals

Neither Danny Lafferty nor Sam Vokes played in their respective country's internationals last night when five former Burnley players won full caps. Sam Vokes ruled out with ankle injury

Vokes was ruled out of Wales clash with Macedonia, a game they won to lift themselves off the bottom of the table. He has an ankle injury and I'm sure Burnley fans will be keeping a watchful eye on the situation and whether he's fit for their game this Tuesday against group winners Belgium.

Lafferty, meanwhile, was an unused substitute in Northern Ireland's latest embarrassing defeat. They were beaten 2-0 by Azerbaijan who are now above them in a table with only Luxembourg keeping Northern Ireland off the bottom.

Martin Paterson, one of five ex-Clarets on active international duty, played the full ninety minutes as did Gary Cahill, who helped England to the verge of qualification with a 4-1 win against Macedonia, Alex Kačaniklić, who was in Sweden's team that beat Austria 2-1, and Diego Penny, he returned to the Peru side but they were beaten 3-1 by Argentina in Buenos Aires.

One the same day Rhys Williams won his 12th cap in a friendly against France in Paris. It was one to forget as they went down to a 6-0 defeat.

Finally, Gabor Kiraly was an unused substitute and I'm sure he must have been delighted. Bolton's error prone Adam Bogdan was in goal as they were beaten 8-1 in Amsterdam by Holland.

The INTERNATIONALS feature, found in the Players drop down menu, has been updated.
