Sven Goran Eriksson, the same one who a year ago was all ready to take Notts County to the Premier League, has today been confirmed as the new manager of Leicester City. Eriksson, who has previously managed Blackburn (sort of) and Manchester City in the Premier League in England, as well as being national coach, has replaced Paulo Sousa who was sacked on Friday and takes over with immediate effect.Leicester City owner Aijawatt Raksriaksorn said it was a great day for everyone associated with the club while chairman Milan Mandaric said: "This is another example of the great support shown by our new owners. Their ambition for the club has been emphasised with this landmark appointment of Sven as the new manager."Eriksson, who was at their game against Stockport yesterday, commented: "I am extremely pleased to be the new manager of Leicester City. This challenge provides great motivation for me and I look forward to working with the players, meeting the supporters and hopefully achieving great success for Leicester City."Leicester is a club with a rich heritage and is a proud sporting city. I hope that together we can look forward to adding to that history with the accomplishments I plan to make."Wasn't it Notts County just over a year ago where had very similar words to say after arriving at their club?
