England debut for Burnley goalkeeper
Clarets Mad would like to offer belated congratulations to Burnley Football Club's latest England international Connor King.
Last Friday Connor was among the substitutes when England played Scotland in the Victory Shield. It wasn't a good night for England. They lost 1-0 and failed to retain the shield for the first time in over a decade.
Tottenham's Alfie Whiteman was in goal and it was he who conceded the goal during the first half. It looked as though Connor was going to have a watching brief again but on 73 minutes he got the call from coach Kenny Swaine and came on to play in goal for the last seven minutes of the game.
Connor is now in the under-15s at Burnley and is in his third season at the club and it is a massive well done to him on this honour.
