Edgar back for Clarets

Burnley boss Brian Laws is boosted by the availability of defender David Edgar for the Carling Cup second-round clash at Morecambe. The right-back served a one-match ban during Saturday's 3-0 home win over Leicester following his red card in the 1-1 draw at Ipswich. Right-back Tyrone Mears returned to the side at the weekend and will hope to keep his place as the Clarets seek to progress. Defender Michael Duff remains sidelined with a slight calf tear and midfielder Chris McCann is a long-term absentee with a knee injury. But Laws has no other concerns and is happy with the competition for places within his promotion-chasing squad. He said: "If opportunities arise, it's up to players to grab them."
