Right back Richard Eckersley has been recalled from his loan at Bury and has signed a long term loan deal with Canadian MLS side Toronto FC until January of next year. The 22-year-old Eckersley was one of the signings ahead of our Premier League season but his only appearances for Burnley have been in the Carling and FA Cups and he's had loan spells out at Plymouth, Bradford City and Bury. That loan deal with Plymouth has now led to this move. When he moved to Home Park last seaosn it was under the management of Paul Mariner who is now the director of player development with the Toronto side.Eckersley had played three times for Bury since going out on loan and Burnley have thanked them for their cooperation in shortening his loan at Gigg Lane to allow for Richard to move to Toronto.Eckersley is currently under contract to Burnley Football Club until the end of the 2012/13 season.
